This Privacy Policy explains how ChatNotice ("ChatNotice," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. In short: your contracts, reports, and notices are never used to train AI, your data is encrypted and kept in your own private account, we never sell it, and you can delete it at any time.

1. Who We Are

ChatNotice is an AI tool that helps construction professionals draft contractual notices. ChatNotice is operated from Bahrain. For any privacy question or request, contact support@chatnotice.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account information — your email address and authentication details, so you can sign in and we can save your work.
Project content you upload or enter — contracts, programmes, daily progress reports, project facts, and the notices generated from them.
Usage data — basic, largely anonymous analytics about how the product is used (pages visited, features clicked), so we can improve it.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information only to provide and improve the Service: to authenticate you, to save and display your projects, to generate notices from the documents and facts you provide, and to send you service-related emails. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. AI Processing and Model Training

To draft a notice, ChatNotice sends the relevant text to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) through its commercial API. This is important:

Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your inputs and outputs are not used to train its AI models.
By default, Anthropic does not retain the content of those requests after the response is returned.

In other words, Claude processes your text to produce a notice, but does not store it or learn from it. See Anthropic's data policy for details. We do not use your content to train AI models. We may use aggregated and de-identified data to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

The data you save in ChatNotice is stored in an encrypted database hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Paris, France). Each user's project data is isolated to their own account. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

6. Service Providers (Sub-Processors)

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run ChatNotice. Each only receives the data needed for its function:

7. Data Retention

We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active, so your work is there when you return. If you ask us to delete your data, or close your account, we delete it from our active systems.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us to access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing support@chatnotice.app. We will action deletion requests promptly.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to your authenticated account, and projects are isolated per user. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the smallest sensible data footprint and use reputable, security-focused providers.

10. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technology for sign-in (essential) and for basic product analytics via PostHog, which helps us understand how the product is used and improve it. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

11. Children

ChatNotice is a professional tool intended for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above.
